More Good, Bad and Ugly

GOOD: My long-lost step brother whom I've never had the pleasure of meeting called.

BAD: He was just released from prison in Oklahoma. I broke the news of my mother's death and he sobbed for a very awkward 5 minutes on the phone.

UGLY: After first inquiring about where his money might be (? - I don't even know where my own money is), he asked me what I was wearing.

  2. Yes MS Mom...yes he does. I'm hoping that he can't legally cross state lines for awhile.

  3. Oh shit, no! I'm getting ready to drive to OK to pick up my 5 year old niece to stay with me for the weekend. Will be driving by the prison! This is some serious Twilight Zone shit!

  9. I second the above. A little bizarre. The cool kids would probably call it 'random', even....

  12. Yes I am serious people. I believe he was drunk at the time, but wrong all the way around. I guess my dreams of having a big brother were seriously dashed that day.

That being said, this is pretty much what having a big brother is like-- start getting used to it!

  20. Hey, KC! I hadn't checked in for awhile and now I find out you're avoiding a scary step brother? Hope things are okay. I have a real brother who's been in and out of jail and calls every 10 years or so... always disconcerting when I hear from him. Take care of yourself!
